How a climb works
Every round is one ascent. The multiplier grows with altitude, and the mountain decides when the rope gives.
1. Betting window
Each round opens with a short betting window. You commit a stake in demo credits; the amount is moved from your available balance into an escrow account by the ledger, so it is locked rather than merely marked.
2. The ascent
When the window closes, the climbers set off. The multiplier grows exponentially from 1.00× against the server clock, so every client sees the same curve regardless of latency. Your climber tracks your position on the route.
3. Cash out — or fall
Cash out at any time to freeze your climber at that multiplier and lock in stake × multiplier. You can also set an auto cash-out before the round so the server exits for you. When the lead climber crashes, everyone still ascending loses their stake for that round.
4. The pot
The displayed round pot is the sum of all stakes. Of that, 85% is accounted to the player pool and 15% is a platform allocation, recorded explicitly on every settlement so the split is auditable rather than implied.
Sandbox only
Bitclimber is a testnet-style sandbox. Balances are demo credits, deposits are simulated, withdrawals do not exist, and no real Bitcoin is ever held or moved.
